Site Index In this and other questions in our current project, Did You Know Series, we need to let the readers know that your Foster Families Examiner is not an attorney. Therefore, can only offer you advice based on twelve years of experience in dealing in the Foster Care System, acting as an advocate for thousands of foster parents.
CPS Hotline
The CPS Hotline; what exactly is that? If you are a foster parent, you know the answer to this question. Just about any parent in America can answer this question. The Hotline is a nightmare waiting to happen to your family. The mere mentioned of the word hotline strikes terror in the hearts of parents across our beautiful country. In defense of the original goals and objectives behind the creation of this "Child Abuse Hotline" most of us agree that a system/method in some form needed to be put in place in order to protect the most precious of all assets, our future, our children. How do we protect our children without ruining the lives of thousands of innocent parents across the nation? Each government entity must have accountability in order to keep it functioning as designed. However, this hotline has no such guards. Therefore, it has become another hurdle for parents to fight in the battle of CPS and the word "justice", which is almost non-existent in the world of CPS, which also has no accountability. Then another question comes to mind; why is there no accountability? How many of our readers are old enough to remember when someone mentioned "audit", in conjunction with the initials IRS, it made all of us shake in our shoes. This is the same situation, way too much power. IRS has the power to shut down businesses, close/seize bank accounts, it goes on and on. However do they have accountability? You can take them to court and win if they have stepped over the bounds of justice, which has been proven in court by the citizens they have harmed. Eventually power has ebbed because IRS stands reined in by our court system. Guaranteed these individuals that have been successful in the court system had the financial requirements to take it to a higher court. Can you afford to climb the ladder of justice, taking your case to a higher court? You see, the differences are obvious. Lady justice wears a price tag on her sleeve, a tag that the poor, deprived, unemployed citizens of our Nation, it is often these citizen's that CPS preys on. Those who cannot fight back. The point we are making, the "Child Abuse Hotline" is another means to the end for CPS.
